Entry submission for the 2009 Project Innovations

Entry Guidelines
- Entries will be accepted for office, retail, educational, healthcare, government, multifamily housing, hospitality, public, and specialty projects and spaces. Residential projects, such as single-family homes, are not eligible.
- Projects must be complete in order to be eligible and should have been completed within the last three years.
- Entries may be submitted by any member of the project team (i.e. owner, architect, contractor, interior designer, vendor, etc.) or as a collaborative effort.
- All entry and information materials become the property of Buildings. Entrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information. Entrants also must agree that the photography submitted with entries may be used by Buildings in print, online, and for reprints.
- Buildings reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not conform to entry guidelines.
Deadlines
Entries must be submitted by June 5. The following materials must be submitted with your entry, in a Word document:
- 1-page or larger backgrounder about the project.
- 2- to 5-page description outlining the specifics of the project (including intent, design concept/solution, suitability of solution for application, creativity and aesthetics, function and performance characteristics, etc.).
- 1- to 2-page listing of the project team (including contact information).
- A list of manufacturers’ products used in the project.
- High-resolution (300 dpi) photos, which will be uploaded to an FTP site.
Publication Fee
If your project is selected for publication in Buildings' Project Innovations, to be featured in the October, 2009 issue and on the website, a Publication Fee is incurred to help cover such expenses as judging, editorial/design, printing, distribution, and website content/production. You pay nothing at the time of submitting your entry. If your project is selected to be published, you will receive an invoice around July 1, 2009.
