Extreme Museum – Siberian Edition
Designed as a low-impact, highly insulated, well-conditioned response to the extreme Siberian climate, the World Mammoth and Permafrost Museum is a place where the worlds of the museum and scientific research can coexist. It’s elevated 20 feet above the landscape to prevent heat transfer to the thermally sensitive permafrost. A super-insulated, double-wall-glazed façade with an Aerogel lattice network mimics the natural geometry of the permafrost.
