WAYLAND, NY – Contract furniture industry leader The Gunlocke Company received top honors from the United Way of the Southern Tier in upstate New York for its outstanding performance in United Way’s 2011 Community Campaign.
Gunlocke received the Pinnacle Award, the highest recognition possible, for increasing its total campaign by 41 percent, raising $79,279 for United Way in 2011. The company also received the New Donor Participation Award, which recognizes the organization whose campaign includes the highest percentage of new donors. Gunlocke added 81 new United Way campaign donors in 2011.
“At Gunlocke, we truly believe in giving back to the community where we live and work,” says Gunlocke President Don Mead. “The United Way campaign is an excellent way that we can come together as a company and provide immense support to a variety of organizations in our region.”
