When Cynthia Masters, Allied ASID, president and lead designer with Panageries, Inc. was tasked with designing the offices of Falls Park Dentistry in downtown Greenville, S.C., she knew she had to respect the building’s historic lineage while also creating a calming environment for anxious patients.
“By using reclaimed heart pine floors, rich stained woods, traditional moldings and natural colors, we were able to create an inviting interior with a sense of history,” Masters says.
Notable design elements throughout
the office include Mohawk carpeting in the hallway, chosen to evoke the waterfall nearby Falls Park; Burnt Chestnut vinyl plank flooring from Amtico in the operatories; a Lumicor raised countertop at the check-in
desk featuring natural grasses; and transitional-style seating from Cartwright and Gunlocke in the waiting area, along with benches from Arcadia overlooking the quaint, tree-lined streets of Greenville.
