A new web app by the Alternative Fuels Data Center will lay out your options and a plan to get you there.
The Petroleum Reduction Planning Tool evaluates your current practices against five alternative fuels (biodiesel, electricity, ethanol, natural gas, and propane) and proposes efficiency measures like idle reduction and improvements in fuel economy.
The tool creates possible scenarios based on a host of transportation data, allowing you to assess strategies like replacing a certain number of sedans with plug-in hybrid vehicles or using B20 biodiesel in heavy-duty trucks.
