As an integrated facilities services company with more than 50 years in facilities outsourcing experience, UNICCO Service Co. reports service responsibilities for 3,285 office buildings (206 million square feet); 80 shopping centers (119 million square feet); 6,200 chain stores, which include bank branches (20 million square feet); 1,240 educational buildings (95 million square feet); 19 healthcare buildings (12 million square feet); 22 government buildings (20 million square feet); 12 “other commercial” buildings, i.e. public venues including stadiums, museums, etc. (24 million square feet); and 370 industrial buildings (186 million square feet). The total of 682 million square feet exceeds last year’s numbers by 33 million square feet – up 4 percent. UNICCO notes that 1,225 professionals are involved full-time in facilities.
