Montage & Momentum Textiles Host CEU Presentation

On Thursday, September 21 at 4:30 p.m., Montage, Boston's contemporary home furnishings retailer, in conjunction with Momentum Textiles, will hold a special CEU event for interior design professionals. Industrial designer Cory Grosser will present a CEU program titled Positive Design—The Emotional Power of Beauty. The Interior Design Continuing Education Council will provide credit to all participating design professionals. Space for the CEU program is limited, and interested designers are encouraged to RSVP promptly at (781) 901-1213.

Grosser promises that attendees at the CEU presentation will gain insight into a paradigm shift in current design thinking: a shift from design centered around function and aesthetics to one driven by emotion and experience. After the lecture, professionals will better understand how "emotional" design can be used to create better-performing, more creative products and spaces. They will learn the five components of powerful design and how these new ideas can be applied to their own current and future projects.

"Cory Grosser is one of the most exciting and innovative designers working in America today," says Montage co-owner Chris Bates. "He is a true visionary dedicated to offering not only dynamic designs, but also promoting entirely fresh ways of living—and working. We look forward to introducing Cory to Boston's many talented design professionals."

Grosser founded the Los Angeles-based Positive Industrial Design in 2001. His client list includes Ford Motor Co., Bombay Sapphire, Zanotta, MDF Italia, Dellarobbia, Frighetto, Textus, Magis, and Mini Cooper. Surface magazine recently selected Grosser as one of the top avant-garde design talents working in America, and sponsored exhibitions of his work at the Milan Furniture Fair and the Chelsea Art Museum in New York.

For more information about the CEU program, including registration information, please contact Claudia DiCesare at (781) 901-1213.
