Excitement Builds for AV Technology and Training at InfoComm 07

Thousands of the hottest technology products will be at InfoComm 07 in Anaheim, CA, June 15-21 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The exhibition includes technology demonstrations of video display and projection, digital signage, conferencing, lighting, staging and audio products, and systems. There will be dazzling demonstrations of applications such as classrooms, boardrooms, command-and-control centers, and large-venue displays. The educational conference offers more than 260 courses ranging from 3-day in-depth sessions to 2-hour seminars.

Organized by InfoComm International, InfoComm 07 is expected to bring together 28,000 commercial and professional end-user attendees from more than 80 countries.

More than 800 exhibitors will present the newest AV technology. With opportunities for training and professional development, along with demonstrations, special pavilions, and exciting events, InfoComm 07 will fill more than 450,000 net square feet, making it the biggest Information Communications Marketplace to-date.

Why Should Architects Attend InfoComm?
InfoComm enables architects to see 10,000 AV products in applications across the vast show floor. It is a great place to meet, in one location, systems integrators, independent design consultants, and technology manufacturers with their newest product releases. Because InfoComm is attended by thousands of end-users, it's also a great way to network with prospective clients. Architects can earn AIA credits by attending a variety of classes.

InfoComm has also arranged AV technology tours of California State University Fullerton and Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

Conferencing at InfoComm 07
InfoComm 07 is packed with integrated collaborative conferencing application demonstrations. Attendees can visit The Unified Collaborative Conferencing Pavilion, learn how to integrate collaborative conferencing into clients' classes, meetings, and training sessions, and see the latest in clarion HD conferencing at the HD Conferencing Demo. Technologies and solutions at all price points can be found on the show floor.

Digital Signage Application Showcase
This new Sony-sponsored exhibit is designed to educate attendees on industry-specific applications using digital signage. Located in Hall E, attendees will be immersed in environments from airport terminals to casinos. The showcase, integrated by Spinitar, features fully functional digital signage applications. The Digital Signage Application Showcase also includes an area dedicated to the future of digital signage that will house innovative presentations providing perspective into the direction the digital signage industry is moving.

Hear from the Big Names in Audio
InfoComm has more than 250 audio exhibitors, audio demo rooms featuring more than 20 leading audio brands, and 30 professional audio application and technology classes. Advanced training from Syn-Aud-Con and courses on EASE and CobraNet make InfoComm 07 the event to find audio solutions for all types of spaces. New to this year's show is The Immersive Audio Experience, an exhibit featuring real-world multichannel sound applications. Three specially built spaces showcase the way HD sound can be used to enhance listener experiences in a variety of environments.

Pavilions, Galleries, and More
InfoComm is known for its array of sponsored pavilions and special exhibits. In addition to the Unified Collaborative Conferencing Pavilion, there are others focusing on audio, digital content creation, digital signage, and lighting and staging. The Technologies for Worship Pavilion features integrated solutions for the House of Worship market, while EduComm's "Tomorrow's Classroom Today" Pavilion enables top companies in audiovisual and technology to present their vision of the classroom of the future. It's a chance to experience products, interact with company representatives, and learn how to design the same classroom for clients.

Platinum sponsor Crestron and the InfoComm Independent Programmers Council will present a System Programming & GUI Design Gallery. The participants, all Crestron Authorized Independent Programmers (CAIPs), showcase their interactive touch screens, ensuring appropriate integration while enabling the ultimate end-user to easily navigate the system.

Architects will also want to experience the crisp images of the Large Venue Display Gallery - sponsored by platinum sponsor Extron Electronics - with larger-than-life HD display and projection solutions in one convenient viewing location. In its fifth year, this event presents projection and display solutions for venues such as sports arenas, concert halls, and entertainment centers. Technical engineering support, source material production, and project management are provided under the direction of Steve Somers, Extron's vice president of engineering.

Courses, Sessions, and Seminars
Education is a cornerstone of InfoComm 07, with sessions covering the full range of the audiovisual and information communications industry. InfoComm Academy has expanded its lineup in response to industry trends to include new classes in digital signage, AV/IT, AV best practices, quality management, and project management with instruction on scheduling tools.

The academy will hold its renowned 3-day Institutes for Professional Development (IPDs) prior to InfoComm 07. Attendees can enroll in one of eight IPDs such as Design School Level 1: Principles of AV Design; Design School Level 2: Facilities Design; Design School Level 3: Systems Design; a new session on AV/IT integration; Project Management: Competencies and Structure, customized for the AV industry and approved by the Project Management Institute; Videoconferencing: Applications, Technology, and Trends; Advanced Integrated Systems Sales; and Certification Prep.

An annual special event, Super Monday features 6-hour workshops of intensive instruction. New to Super Monday are AV Best Practices; Commitment to Quality; Managing Projects and Resources with Scheduling Tools; Business Opportunities in Dynamic Digital Display; and a Specialized CTS Workshop. Returning sessions include Introduction to Collaborative Conferencing; Technology Trends; and Technologies for Presentation Professionals.
