Green Newspaper Building Makes Cents Making the new headquarters of The Columbian “green” made sense (and cents) for the newspaper’s publisher. Located in downtown Vancouver, Canada, the $30 million structure is on track to earn LEED Gold certification with features such as a ground-source heating and cooling system and occupancy sensored lighting, along with a design that maximizes natural lighting. He points to hybrid cars as one of the offenders.
