Hospitals Use Palm Readers

Some hospitals are expanding biometric technology to include patient identification. Hospitals in North Carolina and New York are using palm scanners and fingerprint scanners to register patients and identify them at subsequent visits. But this effort to secure patient information could present a privacy risk.
