CHICAGO - A fleet of Chicago pedicabs will be afoot at NeoCon courtesy of Allsteel.
This energy-efficient alternative to taxis and other automotive transportation will be available Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., to shuttle attendees between their nearby hotels, The Merchandise Mart venue, and off-site après-events. A registered NeoCon show-goer need only show his or her badge for the free ride via the cycling chauffeurs.
"The pedicab service offered by Allsteel has been a NeoCon hit, and we're pleased to be able to provide this for the third consecutive year," says Brandon Sieben, Allsteel vice president, marketing. "The open air vehicles give visitors a chance to enjoy the fresh air after a day in the showrooms while they get to their destinations in a fun, leisurely way."
The free Allsteel pedicabs can be spotted by their "Discover new Acuity" billboards—signage that refers to the company's new seating innovation, Acuity—and the pedal-pushers will be wearing raspberry-colored T-shirts with the message "NeverSitStill."
