While children undergo medical treatment at the Phoenix Children's Hospital, their parents might be staying next door at the new Ronald McDonald House. The facility, located on the hospital campus, provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill and injured children who are receiving treatment at the hospital.
Recently, the Ronald McDonald House received a high-tech makeover when Richmond, VA-based Tridium and its distributor, Concord, CA-based Controlco, donated building-automation and security technology that will integrate with the existing CCTV system. The 17,300-square-foot facility will be one of the first Ronald McDonald Houses to use this combination of technology.
Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House will benefit from the technology integration, which will provide a safer, more comfortable environment.
