`Buckypaper' Could Revolutionize Products
"Buckypaper" may look like ordinary carbon paper but there’s nothing ordinary about it. The carbon nanotube is 10 times lighter but potentially 500 times stronger than steel when sheets of it are stacked and pressed together to form a composite. Unlike conventional composite materials, it conducts electricity like copper or silicon and disperses heat like steel or brass.
HVAC System and Building Integration
When HVAC systems are carefully integrated into the building design, occupants can enjoy a comfortable environment in aesthetically pleasing architecture. Mechanical systems will impact many building elements, including the floor area and layout, ceiling design, roof design, planters, and other site features.
Use BSD SpecLink® for automated construction specifications writing, production, and management. Three tabs are linked for concept to post-construction documents: PerSpective® for early design criteria, Short Form specs for schematic design and design development, and SpecLink’s original data for construction specifications and automatic administrative reports. The new BSD SpecLink includes many LEED features and reports, and there’s also a one-click switch that flips any project from the old 16-division format to MasterFormat™ 2004.
