She is chairperson of the Outdoor Environmental Lighting Committee for the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and of the joint IDA/IESNA Model Lighting Ordinance Task Force. Nancy is a topic editor for the 9th Edition IESNA Lighting Handbook, and her committee was responsible for the production of the IESNA Recommended Practices on Outdoor Lighting.
