According to ENERGY STAR, the energy required for a data center’s cooling is 10 times greater than that required for other buildings regardless of climate region. Charles has over twenty years of experience in project management, and HVAC engineering design for numerous Data Centers, including mission critical facilities for global business leaders Hewlett Packard, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and many financial firms. Chuck is a LEED Accredited Professional, and has been involved with the U.S. Green Building Council since the pilot phase in the late 1990s.

 

Chuck has presented nationally and locally on Data Center and green building design to numerous institutions, as well as professional and trade organizations. He has published many articles in engineering trade magazines on topics including data center design, green building design, and HVAC system design. Chuck holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is a licensed in engineer in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Connecticut and Wisconsin.
