New Database for Net Zero Projects

Review case studies to uncover how others achieved this energy feat

Energy efficiency calculations

A new energy tool showcases buildings that are pursuing zero net energy consumption, offering an easy comparison to managers of similar buildings looking for energy use reduction strategies.

All projects in the High Performance Buildings Database qualify by participating in eligible building performance programs, including Passive House, Earth Advantage Net Zero, or the International Living Future Institute Net Zero Energy certification. Energy use data or models confirm that they achieve zero net energy annually, plus or minus 10%. All case studies cover at least 150 data points for easy comparison and have been peer-reviewed by net zero experts.

Results can also be refined by ASHRAE climate zone, floor area, construction type and other factors to view only buildings that are similar to yours.
