USGBC Offers Incentives for Certifications and Registration

The organization kicks off the New Year with new incentives

According to a press release issued Jan. 11, 2007, the Washington, D.C.-based U.S. Green Building Council is challenging the building industry to put them out of business. Beginning on Jan. 1, 2007, the organization is offering a full rebate for the certification fees for any project that earns LEED Platinum certification. This rebate opportunity applies to projects applying for LEED for New Construction, LEED for Existing Buildings, LEED for Commercial Interiors, or LEED for Core and Shell Platinum certification. All fees ordinarily paid to the USGBC will be refunded when the LEED plaque is awarded. To find out more or ask questions about this opportunity, e-mail (leedinfo@usgbc.org).

In another effort to encourage environmentally friendly development and building operations, the USGBC has also announced that it will waive the registration fee for LEED for Existing Buildings, LEED for New Construction, and LEED for Core and Shell buildings.
