Polyisocyanurate insulation is historically a popular choice for exterior continuous wall and roofing applications because it effectively insulates against heat transfer; this product tailors polyiso for below-grade applications by incorporating a durable water-resistant facer onto the closed-cell foam core. It meets the R-10 code requirement present in most markets with just 1.5 inches of polyiso—25% less material than an XPS board with the same R-value.
