Green cleaning practices and products, as well as the benefits associated with it including those related to human health, the environment, sanitation, and the community, will be presented in this 2-hour course. Green cleaning strategies will be detailed and the associated intent, requirements, and implementation strategies under the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system will be identified.
Through the completion of this course, participants will gain insight on what green cleaning means and the benefits associated with it. Students will gain the tools necessary to develop a green cleaning plan for implementation, and will become familiar with the specific requirements for green cleaning in the LEED EB:O+M green building rating system.
