Assess Fire Risk in High-Rise Buildings With New NFPA Guide

This project builds on previous NFPA work begun over the past few years and is a response to recent fires associated with combustible wall-insulation components

In the wake of large-scale fires in high-rise buildings with combustible facades, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is developing a tool to analyze and apply strategies in accordance to fire risks for these types of buildings in an effort to assist local authorities globally with fire safety.

This project builds on previous NFPA work begun over the past few years related to growing concerns about fire risks associated with combustible wall-insulation components. As part of its commitment to enhancing public safety and to serving the public's increasing interest in technical information, NFPA makes its codes and standards available online for free here.
