In June 2019, thousands of buildings industry professionals will descend on Salt Lake City for the BOMA 2019 International Conference & Expo. Taking place June 22-25, the conference will bring together commercial real estate (CRE) professionals and experts from across the country.

“You know, one of the best things about the BOMA conference is the sheer amount of brain power that’s out there on that floor,” says Patrick Shaw, director of engineering and maintenance at Cushman & Wakefield. “Just about every aspect of building maintenance is covered, and so being able to find those individuals with that specific knowledge and being able to tap into them when you need them is tremendously, tremendously helpful.”

Who Attended Last Year?
Hundreds of companies were represented at last year’s expo in San Antonio, TX — including JLL, Unico Properties, Boeing and REALTERM.
- 66 percent of attendees were building or property managers, then followed by asset managers and facilities managers.
- 26 percent of attendees managed between two and five buildings.
- 29 percent of attendees had an annual spending budget on building products and services between $1 million and $4.9 million.
“There’s a lot of good people that can really help your businesses on the BOMA expo floor, and I make an effort to try to go and talk to every single one of them,” Shaw says, “just so I can try to get their information and hopefully find a way that we can use them to help solve my problems.”
