Welcome to LEDs Magazine’s News & Insights for April 26, 2023. Over the past year, we’ve made some changes to our magazine layouts, and I hope subscribers are enjoying some of the more graphics-oriented feature styling in each LEDs issue. I’m pleased to note that with the publication of our April/May issue, we have also updated our cover concept. It’s a cleaner look designed to showcase the cover story without losing sight of our branding. Qualified professionals across the LED and SSL industry can subscribe for free.

Up front in this newsletter, we’re previewing the LightFair conference, exploring what’s new with that event for 2023. Other articles include our editorial director’s Commentary on the economic incentives that will continue to drive adoption of LED lighting, building controls, and energy technologies that intersect with rebate opportunities as outlined by contributor Craig DiLouie of the Lighting Controls Association.

Finally, we’re looking forward to an informative webinar on how epitaxial innovation is advancing UV-C LED technology. On May 18, Silanna UV tech leaders will dig into deploying 222-nm LEDs for disinfection applications — and beyond.

There’s plenty more for you below. Please stay in touch about content we publish and to propose contributed articles.
