This competitive awards program is for manufacturers of interiors products related to commercial buildings.


Not submitting the required information could disqualify you.

Who: Interiors vendors who have products relevant to commercial facilities.

Categories: Lighting, Seating, Furniture Systems, Technology Support, Flooring, Acoustics, Materials, Walls and Partitions

  • Items must support end users in commercial and institutional settings, including education, corporate, healthcare, hospitality, government and retail.

Ineligible: Commercial products must be available to buyers by the end of 2020. Residential products and and individual product winners from 2018 and 2019 are not eligible.

Entry Materials

Download and complete this submission form. Then create a zip file of all the materials explained below (cannot exceed 10 MB).

Your zip folder should contain the following items:

1. Completed submission form (we will use your answers, so don't be shy!)

2. 1-3 images

3. Press release (optional)

Images (up to 3):

High-resolution images (up to 3) - A mix of standard and application shots is best so judges can visualize how the product is used. Only one will be selected for publication.

Image should be saved at 300 dpi (at least 250KB) in jpeg, tiff or eps format. Please label each file with this format: CompanyName_ProductName1.

Press release:

A press release or brochure - A standard press release is suitable, though the strongest entries describe the funtionality, performance or productivity of the product as it relates to building owners/managers, interior designers and end users.

Finalists are selected based on their relevance to facility owners/managers and end users.

Each entry is initially judged by our editorial staff based on your submission materials (questionnaire answers, press release and photography). If your product is selected as a finalist, it will then be reviewed by a BUILDINGS or interiors+sources editor in a one-on-one virtual booth meeting conducted via Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams.

We will name winners at the Editors’ Choice, Grand Prize and Merit Award levels. (The three Editors Choice winners are drawn from the pool of Grand Prize winners.) Here is what each receives:

  • Coverage in the September/October issue of both BUILDINGS and the October issue of interiors+sources in online and print formats. This special feature will be promoted on our homepage, in the BUILDINGS Bulletin and i+s insider e-newsletters, and across our social media platforms.

  • An individual online product listing with both BUILDINGS and interiors+sources. Both offer a valuable digital catalog of solutions.

  • Marketing materials, including an awards plaque, complimentary issues, press releases, graphics and backlinks.

  • Editor’s Choice winners will also receive:

    • A five-minute express listen podcast

    • Inclusion in a separate article highlighting the three Editor’s Choice products

    • Inclusion in the BUILDINGS Bulletin and i+s insider e-newsletters separate from the Product Innovations feature

    • One individual mention on social media

    • A prime spot in the September/October issue of BUILDINGS and the October issue of interiors+sources

    • Featured placement on the and homepages for one week

This is a competitive awards program—submission does not guarantee selection. Your company may submit multiple products, but only one may be selected per category.

If your product is not selected, it does not move forward in the competition and will not be included in the Product Innovations feature. Entries that do not win will be considered for placement in a future issue in the Products section of
BUILDINGS and/or the Sources section of interiors+sources.

Editors reserve the right to revise all product descriptions.
