Wood Meets Enhanced Acoustics with WoodWorks MicroPerforated Ceiling Panels

These panels pair with fleece to deliver NRC ratings up to 0.85.
Dec. 2, 2025

Armstrong World Industries’ WoodWorks MicroPerforated Ceiling Panels combine the beauty of natural wood with “barely there” perforations that deliver enhanced acoustic performance. The perforations, which are nearly invisible when the panels are installed at standard heights, enable acoustic performance up to 0.70 NRC when paired with acoustic fleece that’s factory-applied to the back of the panels, and up to 0.85 NRC with infill panels.

The ceiling panels have an ASTM E84 Class A Fire Performance Rating and can contribute to biophilic designs and building certification standards like WELL v2’s “Nature and Place” feature. They’re made from 100% USDA Biobased Content and are made in the United States from domestic and global content. Choose from 12 standard veneer finishes in various wood species and veneer cuts.

This product is a 2025 Product Innovation Award winner.

Judge’s Comment: “It is nice to have the option to add acoustic panels with a wood aesthetic. It will help with keeping modern, warm designs in tenant buildouts.”
