YKK AP America’s exclusive aluminum billet, the BetterBillet, is made with an average of 40% recycled aluminum and paired with a low-carbon primary aluminum, 80% of which is sourced from North American suppliers. The result is a dramatically lower carbon footprint than regular billets.

Fully produced in the U.S., the billet demonstrates the ability to focus on recycled and low-carbon materials while maintaining quality and consistency. It’s melted and cast in house in an ISO 14001 certified facility in Dublin, Georgia, and incorporates a circular production model. All aluminum waste generated on site is recycled, reducing the materials sent to the landfill by 40%.

This product is a 2025 Product Innovation Award winner.
