Construction on the $19.8 million Arena Corporate Center in Anaheim, CA, was completed in May by McCarthy Building Cos. Inc., based in St. Louis. The three-building complex, totaling 382,000 square feet, is comprised of Class A office space and was developed by Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co. The three identical buildings were designed by MacDavid-Martinez Architects of Tustin, CA, and use concrete tilt-up construction. “One of the biggest project challenges was the coordination and sequencing of the precast tilt-up panel raises,” says Steve Van Dyke, project manager, McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. “With proper planning and effective subcontractor, materials, and equipment coordination, we accomplished this scope of work as scheduled and completed the project on time.”The terra cotta and cream exterior is complemented by green reflective glass and mullions, and large arched entries welcome occupants and visitors into granite and marble lobbies. One acre of lush landscaping surrounds the corporate center and provides a central plaza for tenant use. “We’ve also provided our tenants with an on-site jogging trail and basketball court along with lockers and showers,” adds Steve Hollis, vice president development manager, Trammell Crow Co., Irvine, CA.
