Chicago tops the list of Orkin’s annual list of the most rat infested cities for a third straight year.
The leaves are falling and the temperatures are getting colder, which means the start of rodent season is upon us. As the weather gets colder, unwanted pests like rats and mice seek out food, water, and shelter to survive the winter. And they will find a way inside your building if you let them.
To give a clearer picture of problem cities for rat infestation an annnual recognition rodent invasion, Orkin released its Top 50 Rattiest Cities list and for the third consecutive year, Chicago has taken the top spot.
The metro regions are ranked by the number of residential and commercial rodent treatments the company performed from September 15, 2016 through September 15, 2017.
The rankings for the most rat infested cities are as follows:

Los Angeles
San Francisco – Oakland
Washington, DC
Philadelphia
Detroit
Baltimore
Seattle – Tacoma
Dallas – Ft. Worth
