The waterside economizer option available on WaterFurnace’s geothermal and water source heat pump lines uses a building’s interior loop to provide cooling.
Air is passed through a coil cooled by loop water, providing up to 100% of cooling load requirements. Because they are not exposed to outdoor air, waterside economizers provide longer operating hours and better humidity control than airside versions.
