YORK Absorption Chillers and Heat Pumps use only water as the refrigerant and are driven by waste heat or other low-cost heat sources, yielding zero ozone depletion and global warming potential. Uses a two-step evaporator-absorber/parallel flow design that enables a lower salt concentration, which reduces the energy required by about 10% compared to single-step evaporator/absorber design. This allows safe, efficient operation at a lower pressure than series-flow products.
Available with hot water, steam, direct fired, exhaust gas and natural gas fuel sources, as well as models that feature multiple power options.
