With recent growth and technological advances, Metavante’s command center needed improvements to keep up with the needs of their customers.According to VP-Facilities Services Director Ed Wimer, Metavante selected KI for this venture based on a successful past relationship and the value of KI products. KI products enhance the look and function of Metavante’s updated facility.The command center is open every day, all day. Furnishings in the center need to accommodate assorted work groups and individuals working the various shifts. “KI listened to our needs and adjusted the product accordingly,” says Wimer. KI workstations succeed in accommodating distinct users and adapting to a variety of tasks. Flexible WorkSpace adjustable worksurfaces increase user’s comfort and adapt to individual needs. By turning a removable desktop crank handle, the height of the worksurface can be changed from 23” to 33-1/2”. These adjustments can be made without help from maintenance or facility personnel.Since more than one person works at each workstation, they need secure files. 700 Series pedestal files with individual locks have a security pan that prevents access from the drawer above. They provide safe, secure storage for personal and business items. WireWorks panels complete the Metavante workstations. This system supports the altering of panel heights, or entire configurations, without disturbing adjacent panels or power and data cables. The panel structure is simple, strong and cost-effective. Cables are laid in without having to thread through frames. This revolutionary design conquers the challenge of economically moving people, furniture and power and date lines as business opportunities demand. Even more, WireWorks panels go up without special tools or fasteners. No matter when change comes, WireWorks responds.“KI’s attention to detail enabled a smooth transition into our new space,” says Wimer. Flexible KI products will allow Metavante to adjust to the constantly changing demands of today’s workspaces.
