Designed Security Inc.’s ES8500 Mid-Size Optical Turnstile is designed for small to medium-sized lobbies and entryways, the ES8500 can handle a high volume of pedestrian traffic – up to 30 people per minute per lane. The new product takes the proven ES8500 design and combines it with optical sensing technology found in the company’s highly touted Entry Sentry.

The ES8500 includes sensors to ensure that only one person for each authorized identification card can pass at a time, eliminating the “tailgating” security threat. The ES8500 complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and can be styled to match any architectural setting while occupying a small amount of space.
