Alera Lighting’s A+CLASS is a single-source classroom lighting system designed to offer energy savings and control strategies that align well to sustainable endeavors as critical improvements to new and existing facilities. The system provides simple and practical ways for the teacher to adjust light levels as needed depending on the task at hand, including a General setting for lectures and an Audio Visual setting for dimmed light for video presentation while still allowing ample light for note-taking.

A+CLASS combines techniques such as occupancy sensors that automatically turn out the lights when the classroom is unoccupied, and innovative features, including NeverDark, which ensures interruption-free light when switching between two lighting levels. Additionally, an optional daylight sensor detects when sufficient daylight is available to automatically reduce A+CLASS general lighting levels. The system is easy to operate, and uses Alera Lighting’s exclusive SD Card commissioning method for easy installation.
