Dan Baum Named As BOMI Institute Senior Vice President

Dan Baum was recently named senior vice president of the BOMI Institute, Arnold, MD, a position to which he brings more than 15 years of management, business development, and marketing communications experience. As senior vice president, Baum will oversee the Institute’s strategic direction and day-to-day operation. Baum was promoted by the Institute’s Board of Trustees from his previous position as BOMI’s director of marketing.Prior to joining BOMI, Baum served as account supervisor for Crosby Marketing Communications in Annapolis, MD, developing and managing creative advertising, direct marketing, public relations, and interactive media programs for a diverse list of regional and national clients. While with Crosby, he worked with such prominent clients as Kaiser Permanente, National Investment Conference for Senior Living and Long-Term Care Industries, and Sturbridge Homes, in addition to BOMI. Baum also has notable non-profit and association experience, including communications positions with the International Apple Institute and the National Legal Aid and Defender Association.He holds a B.A. from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, and is a graduate of the Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies, an intensive strategic marketing program sponsored by the American Association of Advertising Agencies. BOMI Institute is a non-profit educational provider that offers specialized courses and comprehensive designation programs to commercial property managers, facilities managers, and building engineers and technicians worldwide. More than 20,000 professionals hold one or more BOMI designations, which include the Real Property Administrator (RPA), Facilities Management Administrator (FMA), Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA), and Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT), and some 3,500 new students enroll in these designation programs each year.
