NeoCon® 2001 World's Trade Fair, Merchandise Mart, Chicago, witnessed the
latest innovations in solutions-oriented products, services, and technology
for commercial buildings. In its sixth year, the Innovations Awards Competition,
presented by Buildings and BI magazines, featured products and services that
SOLVE today's facilities challenges. Categories in this year's competition included
Computer Solutions, Energy Efficiency, Environmental Solutions, Product Performance
and Ease of Use, Safety/Accessibility, Workplace Aesthetics, Workplace Flexibility,
and Workplace Performance.

WireWorks™ Panel System by KI
A cable- and wire-carrying office panel system, WireWorks Panel System allows
high-churn companies to rearrange their cubicles easily, quickly, and without
expensive electricians or installers by adding, changing, or reconfiguring panels
without disturbing the cable or power hook-up. System can support three styles
of panels with one frame and has a uniquely designed universal connector that
allows workstations to be added without disturbing existing stations. Wiring
can be laid throughout the panel without threading through panel frames - under
the top cap, along the base raceway, behind acoustic tiles, and along sides
