PERKINS & WILL Names Wayne Cage, AIA, Principal And Director Of Interiors Of Firm's Dallas Office

DALLAS – JULY 27, 2001 – Doug Demers, Managing Principal of Perkins & Will’s new Dallas office, announced today that Wayne Cage, AIA has been named Principal and Director of Interiors.

Cage is responsible for leadership in the design of interior environments for clients in higher education, corporate and commercial markets, including corporate headquarters and offices, professional services companies, investment office buildings, hotels and conference centers and major mixed-use developments as well as university and college facilities. He joins Demers in leading the firm’s Dallas location.

Cage brings more than 30 years of experience in design and planning in Texas to Perkins & Will. Previously he served as Vice President and Director of Commercial Interiors for HKS, Inc. in Dallas, and as Senior Vice President for Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum, Inc. (HOK).


Cage has been involved in projects for such notable clients as ExxonMobil, Citicorp, Mesa, Aetna, MCI, Nortel, Motorola, AT&T, Blockbuster, SMU’s Bridwell Library, IBM, and Jones Day.


Cage is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Texas Society of Architects (TSA). His team received the Obata Prize, the HOK Design Project of the Year, for the Exxon Corporation Headquarters in 1997. Wayne was also a recipient of the IBD Top Ten Design Award from Interior Design magazine in 1991.
