Calling itself a "new voice in Catholic healthcare" Trinity Health - a duo, rather than a trio - grew from the 2000 merger between Holy Cross Health System of South Bend, IN, and Mercy Health Services of Farmington Hills, MI.
The combined entity makes up the third-largest Catholic healthcare system in
the United states. Trinity boasts $4.1 billion in revenue and $5.1 billion in
assets. The system is comprised of 43 hospitals, 342 outpatient facilities,
31 long-term care facilities, 28 home health offices, and 20 hospice programs
in seven states, employing nearly 50,000.
