It meets five key needs for behavioral health facilities: prevent patient self-harm, prevent staff harm, prevent patients from barricading in the suite, prevent weaponization of door components, and prevent entanglement of IV lines in door features. Anti-ligature design, emergency egress functionality, and access control are built into the door system, which supports both manual and low-energy automatic operation.
