Horton Automatics introduces the BH Slider, the first sliding door system purpose-built for behavioral health facilities. It meets stringent requirements for safety, access control, and anti-barricade performance while providing the durability and aesthetic adaptability that today’s healthcare facilities want.

It meets five key needs for behavioral health facilities: prevent patient self-harm, prevent staff harm, prevent patients from barricading in the suite, prevent weaponization of door components, and prevent entanglement of IV lines in door features. Anti-ligature design, emergency egress functionality, and access control are built into the door system, which supports both manual and low-energy automatic operation. It can be integrated with building management and patient monitoring systems and is UL 1784, UL 325, ADA, FGI, and Joint Commission compliant.
