• Flexible Power over Ethernet Automated Window Shades

PowerShades’ PoE shades feature cloud connectivity and easy portfolio management.
    Nov. 27, 2024

PowerShades introduces Power over Ethernet (PoE) automated window shades, which use a single network cable instead of complex wiring to transfer power and communication. The shades are powered by a reliable, quiet PoE motor that brings increased flexibility, ease of installation, and potential cost savings to PowerShades’ automated window coverings. They’re ideal for many applications, including hospitality providers who want the ability to raise or lower shades after guests check in or out or corporations who want to create a comfortable environment for employees through the seasons.

The PoE motor is low voltage (under 50V AC) and does not require the services of an electrician or special certifications. Additional sensors can be added to the motor to meet current and future needs. Other features include cloud connectivity for smartphone, tablet, or PC control from anywhere and the ability to develop and deploy groups, scenes, and schedules across multiple facilities. The shades are compatible with leading home and industrial automation systems, including Amazon Alexa, RTI, Google Home, SmartThings, Crestron, ELAN, Control4, and URC.
