Apogee Architectural Metals Launches Fully Fixed Behavioral Health Windows

Apogee Architectural Metals has released its Wausau 4000i-DTFX fully fixed windows with optional between-glass blinds, ensuring high levels of patient safety, security, and privacy in behavioral, psychiatric, and mental health care settings. The windows are part of the DT series behavioral care product line of Wausau Windows, an Apogee Architectural Metals brand. The 4000i-DTFX windows can be installed from the interior or exterior and are stackable, with durable and abrasion-resistant finishes that make it easy to maintain a clean appearance and ensure long-lasting functionality.

Choose from 4- or 4-5/16-inch frame depths; the mechanically fixed infill retainers accept a variety of security glazing. The windows deliver U-factors as low as 0.17 BTU/h·ft²·°F and also resist condensation, with NFRC ratings as high as 42 and AAMA 1503 condensation resistance factors as high as 67. Sound transmission ratings are as high as STC 47 and outdoor-indoor transmission class ratings are as high as OITC 40.
