Crystal Window & Door Systems Launches Series 8700 Windows
Crystal Window & Door Systems introduces the Series 8700 aluminum outswing projected windows. Available in casement, awning, and fixed styles, the windows deliver high thermal performance and comply with stringent energy code requirements. The windows feature a 3.25-inch jamb depth and are suitable for new construction and replacement applications in mid-rise, high-rise, multifamily, office, hospitality, or institutional properties. Polyamide strut thermal break technology delivers enhanced energy efficiency, while heavy-duty extrusions and corner-keyed frames improve the windows’ strength.
The windows achieve structural ratings of AW-PG100 for the outswing casement and fixed styles and AW-PG85 for the awning style. U-values of 0.18 for the fixed style and 0.29 for operable styles are achievable with insulated glass, surpassing the requirements of New York City and other energy codes. With laminated glass, the windows can attain acoustic performance ratings of STC 42 and OITC 34. All three window styles come standard with 1-inch double glass insulated glass units (IGUs); a 1.25-inch IGU option is also available, as are triple glass, monolithic, and bird-deterring glass options. Low-E glass and argon gas are also available.
