Ice Air’s Vertical Stack XC Heat Pump Lowers Barriers to Electrification

This cold-climate option heats spaces when outdoor temperatures are below 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Vertical Stack XC by Ice Air is a cold-climate heat pump designed for projects that require concealed, in-wall vertical HVAC systems. It delivers reliable heating performance when outdoor temperatures are below 0 degrees F. while providing installation simplicity, design flexibility, and individual unit control without the need for a central HVAC system.

It’s ideal for multifamily and mixed-use projects where mechanical room space is limited, gas infrastructure upgrades are costly or impractical, and long-term solutions are needed to meet evolving building regulations and sustainability goals. The units have a 13.4 SEER2 rating and a cooling capacity range of 4,700 to 16,000 BTUH for high-demand environments, and they also feature direct outside-air ventilation capability.
