The SmartcanMax recycling receptacle incorporates a foot release pedal that allows users to remove the can from the trash bag first, eliminating the suction and vacuum that are common with conventional receptacle designs.
After the can is removed, the user can assume an ergonomically neutral position to remove the bag with 2 hands. The receptacle is blue with a permanent molded recycling symbol and text to distinguish it from other waste stream containers.
