Behr Paint Company’s ECOMIX Plant-Based Interior Paint & Primer, available in flat, eggshell, and semi-gloss, has earned the Asthma & Allergy Friendly Certification, a partnership of The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and Allergy Standards Limited (ASL). The certification helps consumers identify products that contribute to a healthier indoor environment. Certified products undergo rigorous independent testing to meet scientific standards and earn the certification mark.

ECOMIX can be used in schools, hospitals, hospitality facilities, offices, and other spaces where cleaner air and a healthier indoor environment is important. Its VOC emissions remain below strict Certification thresholds at both 24 hours and 14 days after application. ECOMIX is formulated with a minimum of 20% plant-based ingredients, verified through third-party laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM D6866. It’s also a USDA Certified Biobased Product. ECOMIX features a one-hour dry time and a two-hour recoat time, with approximately 250-400 square feet of coverage per gallon. Its water-based formula allows for easy soap-and-water cleanup. Once it’s dry, it can withstand repeat scrubbing from common disinfectants and cleaning agents.
