Improvements to BOMA Energy Efficiency Program

Jan. 13, 2016

Curriculum update includes new power reduction strategies.

The second version of the BOMA Energy Efficiency Program (BEEP) has been released, providing six courses that can help FMs cut energy costs in facilities. The new version of the program is up-to-date on the latest strategies and includes how-to guides, results-oriented information based on the latest best practices, and other resources for FMs and building professionals to optimize operations.

The six-part program includes courses on topics such as using ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager tool to benchmark building energy performance, tips for low-cost energy improvements in buildings, and how to make the business case for renovations. The BEEP Version 2.0 program will be available for building professionals to take either on the web or in-person in a classroom.

“As the market responds to increasing demand for energy efficiency, resources like the updated BEEP series help industry professionals stay up-to-date on the latest best practices for creating operational savings through energy management,” says Brenna S. Walraven, BOMA Fellow and lead author of the BEEP program.
