Ilios High Efficiency Water Heater

The natural gas engine in this water heater uses half the fuel of a conventional natural gas boiler to provide an output of nominal 500,000 BTU per hour and meets the needs of facilities with a gas demand of 2,000 therms per month or more.

The scalable, modular unit extracts energy from the atmosphere and uses a standard vapor compression refrigeration cycle to pump water to the optimal temperature. Waste heat recovery from the engine adds to the heater’s efficiency.
