SBT’s award-contending climate change coverage

March 9, 2023
Read the three smart project deep-dives comprising Smart Buildings Technology’s short-listed entry in business media’s prestigious Neal Awards.

June 6, 2023 update: SBT retained its position as a 2023 Neal Awards finalist in the Best Climate Change Coverage category, with Bloomberg Law's article "EV Mineral Bonanza on Alaska Tribal Land Turns on Disputed Road" named the category winner.

As a B2B publication dedicated to covering newsworthy stories, people, and businesses in the smart building technology space, we typically shy away from taking up space to discuss ourselves. But in the interest of resurfacing informative and engaging stories to our growing readership, Smart Buildings Technology is thrilled to announce it is a finalist in the 69th annual Jesse H. Neal Awards, a prestigious recognition program in business media.

SBT is a contender in the Best Climate Change Coverage category, alongside Bloomberg Law, Heavy Duty Trucking, and Agenda. Not bad for a less-than-2-year-old brand running on the steam of staff coffee.

We hope you enjoy reading or rereading the three SBT project features below comprising the package “Smart Projects Past, Present, and Future Take Action on Climate Change,” written by contributors Gideon Fink Shapiro and Jeff Link.

“Decarbonizing New York: 3 paths to success in the city” (June 2022)

Including SBT, nine Endeavor Business Media (EBM) partner brands were named among the 215 Neal Award finalists across 59 categories. The winners will be announced in New York at a April 21 luncheon, emceed by EBM’s own content strategist Erin Hallstrom.
