Babcock Ranch's lakes nestled throughout community

Babcock Ranch is America's first solar-powered town and features numerous lakes nestled throughout the community as part of a sustainability effort. Babcock Ranch’s neighborhood was built 30 feet above sea level and is surrounded by natural land. The wetlands were also preserved so when Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida, the wetlands retained much of the water before overflowing into flow ways to Caloosahatchee River.
