OSHA Releases Updated Recommended Practices for Workplace Safety and Health Programs

Oct. 21, 2016

The update in the OSHA guidelines, originally established in 1989, reflect the current state of the economy, workplace and health issues.

OSHA released a set of Recommended Practices for Safety and Health Programs to assist and support employers when developing safety and health programs in their workplaces.

The new set of recommended practices feature an easier-to-use format and aim to be principally helpful to small and medium-sized businesses. The recommendations also include a section on multi-employer workplaces and a greater emphasis on continuous improvement.
