Oct. 18, 2010

Report claims double the number of new solar power installations in 2010 compared to 2009.

Evolution Solar Corp. has released a report compiling data regarding solar power from the first half of 2010, indicating that the domestic solar industry could double the amount of installations created in 2009.  With 441 megawatts added in 2009, 2010 is on track to add a gigawatt of new capacity.

EVSO President and CEO Robert Hines states, “This report just confirms what we already know: that solar energy is gaining traction in the United States.  Now that U.S. public policy has become stable and friendly towards solar, more and more people are taking a serious look at this revolutionary technology.”
