BP Fabrics and Fibers Company Welcomes New President, Brad T. Mortimer

Bradford T. Mortimer, a seasoned manager with almost three decades of domestic and international experience in the chemical industry, has been named president of the Fabrics and Fibers Business Unit of BP. Mortimer leaves his post as director of organizational development with BP Chemical in Naperville, Ill., to assume his new position in early May. “I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Fabrics and Fibers Business. A native of Kendalville, Ind., Mortimer joined Amoco as a lab technician in 1974 after graduating from Western Illinois University where he majored in zoology. He also received a B.S. in chemistry from Elmhurst College. Over the next two decades, Mortimer advanced rapidly within the organization, working as a technical service chemist, sales representative, regional sales manager, and director of marketing and sales in Europe and as global business manager in the Industrial Intermediates and PTA business units. Soon after the merger of Amoco and BP, Mortimer was named director of North American commercial services and later project manager for business process re-engineering for BP Chemical. Brad and his family look forward to relocating to Georgia. His interests beyond his career include golf, cross-country skiing and travel.
